Technology can be seen from many points of view when talking about eco-sustainability, and while it is true that the generation of technological waste is a fact that we must stop and try to avoid if we want to stop and reverse the damage we are doing to the planet, it is no less true that technology can also contribute a lot when it comes to fighting for a greener world and against climate change.
An example of the above is the numerous advances that are made every day towards cleaner energy, but there are also software that are unknown to most of the population that contribute their bit to make a more sustainable world. Such is the case of PVsyst 7.2. It is a PC-based software package for the study, sizing and data analysis of complete photovoltaic systems.
PVsyst consists of grid-connected, stand-alone, pumped storage and DC grid (public transport) PV systems, and includes extensive PV system component and meteorological databases, as well as general solar energy tools.
This software is geared to the needs of architects, engineers and researchers. It is also very useful for educational training.
Advantages of Pvsyst
As of version 6.x, the Pvsyst program is to date the only simulation program that correctly reflects another key feature of Solar Frontier’s CIS modules: there is a separate default value for «light absorption», which can be further optimized specifically for the related modules. Project, and which, unlike the «negative losses» used so far, has the advantage of not misrepresenting the system size expressed in kWp according to the power category of the modules.
Another advantage of Pvsyst is the correct representation of the lower reflection effect of the Solar Frontier CIS modules, made possible by the surface structure and AR coating of the front glass. This is taken into account through an optimized ASHRAE model factor for the adaptation of the degree of light incidence, especially illustrating its effects on the system efficiency without errors or other negative effects, we recommend its use in particular in cases where accurate simulations of the yields are important for the project decision.
Renewable energy courses
Renewable energies will undoubtedly be the only future of our planet, so more and more specialists will be in demand in this type of energy. From engineers to technicians, computer scientists, architects, biologists… The interaction between the various studies and the new specific fields of study that will emerge are undoubtedly something yet to be discovered. Therefore, training in renewable energies is always a wise choice for employability, but also a good thing for our planet and the future of humanity. Choosing the renewable energy course (in spanish: curso sobre energías renovables) that best suits your profile can be the start of something very special that will lead you to a fulfilling career in which you feel you are doing something important and very necessary. Maybe learning how to use Pvsyst software? That’s up to you.
