Alexander Rybak (en bielorruso: Алякса́ндр І́гаравіч Рыба́к, Aliaksándr Íharavich Rybák; Minsk, Bielorrusia, 13 de mayo de 1986) es un violinista, cantante, compositor y actor noruego, de origen bielorruso. Rybak fue ganador en el Festival de Eurovisión de 2009 celebrado en Moscú (Rusia) en representación de Noruega.

Biografía

Rybak nació en la antigua Unión Soviética en lo que ahora es Bielorrusia. Él y sus padres se mudaron a Noruega cuando tenía cuatro años, y ahí es donde se crió.[1] Rybak comenzó a tocar instrumentos desde los cinco años, tocando actualmente el violín y el piano. Su madre es la famosa pianista Natallia Valiantsinauna Rybak y su padre el violinista Ihar Aliaksandravich Rybak, famoso en Noruega. Alexander ha declarado: “Siempre me gustó divertir a la gente y de alguna manera esta es mi vocación”.[2] Rybak vive actualmente en Nesodden.

Eurovisión 2009

Alexander Rybak ganó la final de la selección nacional de Noruega Melodi Gran Prix de 2009 para representar a Noruega en el Festival de Eurovisión 2009, del que resultó ganador, cantando Fairytale, una canción inspirada en gran medida por la música folclórica noruega. La canción fue compuesta y escrita por él mismo y la interpreta con la compañía de danza moderna popular. Casi al instante se convirtió en el máximo favorito, siendo el primero de las apuestas y ganando el EuroChart, el resultado fue obvio. Alexander Rybak ganó el Festival de Eurovisión el día 16 de mayo de 2009 consiguiendo batir un récord de puntuación al lograr 387 puntos, habiendo recibido de diecisiete de los países participantes la máxima puntuación, de 12 puntos.
