Most\u00a0fish\u00a0(depending on size) tend to eat plankton in the water,\u00a0insects\u00a0and smaller fish.<\/p>\n<p>Fish respire through gills in the sides of their heads, allowing the\u00a0fish\u00a0to breath underwater.\u00a0Fish\u00a0return to the water surface for air at varying intervals.
