They are the largest\u00a0cats\u00a0on the African continent and are unique among felines in a number of ways but the biggest difference between Lions and other\u00a0cats\u00a0is that they are incredibly sociable\u00a0animals\u00a0that live together in family groups known as prides. Lions are also part of the big\u00a0cat\u00a0family meaning that both males and females are able to roar. Despite having once roamed across much of\u00a0Africa\u00a0and even parts of\u00a0Europe\u00a0and\u00a0Asia, the world's remaining Lion population now resides in sub-Saharan\u00a0Africa.
