Fue fundado el <a title=\"28 de abril\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/28_de_abril\">28 de abril<\/a> de <a title=\"1929\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1929\">1929<\/a> por el norteamericano <a title=\"George Capwell\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_Capwell\">George Capwell<\/a>. Su principal deporte es el <a title=\"F\u00fatbol\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/F%C3%BAtbol\">f\u00fatbol<\/a>, en el cual juega en la <a title=\"Serie A de Ecuador\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Serie_A_de_Ecuador\">Serie A de Ecuador<\/a> y la ha ganado en diez ocasiones, siendo el \u00fanico equipo ecuatoriano que ha sido campe\u00f3n todas las d\u00e9cadas en la que se han jugado campeonatos nacionales: 1957, 1961, 1965, 1972, 1979, 1988, 1993, 1994, 2001 y 2002.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399\">Emelec disputa el cl\u00e1sico del f\u00fatbol ecuatoriano entre los equipos con mayor hinchada a nivel nacional, denominado <a title=\"Cl\u00e1sico del Astillero\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cl%C3%A1sico_del_Astillero\">Cl\u00e1sico del Astillero<\/a>, ante <a title=\"Barcelona Sporting Club\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Barcelona_Sporting_Club\">Barcelona<\/a>; estos equipos mantienen una rivalidad hist\u00f3rica<sup>. <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Club_Sport_Emelec#cite_note-1\"><\/a><\/sup><sup><a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Club_Sport_Emelec#cite_note-2\"><\/a><\/sup>Su barra brava es la <a title=\"Boca del Pozo\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Boca_del_Pozo\">Boca del Pozo<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399\"><\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blufiles.storage.live.com\/y1p291Irw9j9kzodI-bdWC6EFo6g5d99VFiul9mkKngWdQGEvPFhVTJsmt1Ydn_zNjL4coF18VlMo4\" alt=\"\" width=\"555\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Club Sport Emelec es un club deportivo de la ciudad de Guayaquil, Provincia del Guayas, Ecuador.
