En principio, cualquier cosa que produzca sonido puede servir de  instrumento musical, pero la expresi\u00f3n se reserva, generalmente, a  aquellos objetos que tienen ese prop\u00f3sito espec\u00edfico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900\">Existen muchas divisiones alternativas y subdivisiones de instrumentos.  Generalmente, al estudiar los instrumentos musicales es frecuente  encontrarse con la cl\u00e1sica divisi\u00f3n de los instrumentos en tres  familias: viento, cuerda y percusi\u00f3n. Sin embargo, debido a que esta  clasificaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 orientada a los instrumentos de la orquesta  sinf\u00f3nica, adolece de ciertas restricciones y defectos.
