The Downtown Fiction<\/a> are an indie pop\/rock band from Fairfax, VA, formed in the summer of 2008 by Cameron Leahy (guitar\/vocals) and Eric Jones (drums). The two posted three demos on the band\u2019s MySpace profile and quickly built a following and added David Pavluk (bass\/background vocals) to the line up. After a year of touring, The Downtown Fiction announced their signing with Photo Finish<\/a> \/ Atlantic Records<\/a>. The band performed on the 2010 Bamboozle Roadshow and the 2010 Warped Tour<\/a> and was recently featured in the \u201c100 Bands You Need To Know\u201d issue of Alternative Press Magazine<\/a>. \nThe Downtown Fiction released a self-titled EP in March 2009, which included the hits \u201cLiving Proof\u201d and \u201cIs Anybody Out There?\u201d. Followed up by an EP titled \u201cBest I Never Had\u201d in March. In August, the music video for \u201cI Just Wanna Run\u201d was released and in December, they released a new EP \u201cThe Double E.P.\u201d, including all tracks from the two other EPs and a new demo, \u201cKeep On Moving\u201d. Songfacts reports that their first album Let\u2019s Be Animals<\/a> was released on April 26, 2011, via Photo Finish \/ Atlantic Records, \u201cThanks for Nothing\u201d was the first single.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
