Perfection of the world: Why to love nature?

I have always thought that nature is perfect. The relationship between living things and the environment, and the way the world needs natural cycles make me see the entire world as a perfect combination. At school, I remember I used to love Anatomy classes: all the cells work together for the well performance of the body. Of course, I wanted to become a doctor, but life makes fun of our plans sometimes. You see, I decided to study Marine Biology. It was not my main dream. I don’t regret, though. In my classes, professors explain how the world works, how ecosystems depend on each living being, and how a simple action can have tremendous impacts on nature. It is sad to realize how humans damage our planet, with no care about it. We need to see the world as a temporary house, in which humans are guests only.

It reminds me of me when I was 6 years old. I liked to play in the garden of a temple my mom used to take me to then. There were lots of roses. Once, my t-shirt got hooked to a rose’s thorn. I talked to my mom about that, and she smiled. She said to me that roses did that every time they felt lonely and wanted to feel loved. I was a very innocent child, so I believed it. When that happened to me again, I used to take a cup of water and, with kindness, spilt the water to the rose, as a sign of love. It is kind of fun, but as a child I learnt the message that we have to love nature and all the living beings, because they are as alive as we humans are.

My soul then became a biologist!

How creative mothers are when trying to teach something to their children!
