La producción petrolera es la actividad de la industria que se encarga de todas las etapas necesarias para manejar los hidrocarburos (petróleo y gas) desde el yacimiento hasta el pozo, y desde éste a la superficie; donde se separan, tratan, almacenan, miden y transportan para su posterior utilización.
