Como agregados granulares se usan arena silícea natural. El tratamiento previo de la cascarilla consiste en sumergirla durante veinticuatro horas en una solución de cal al 5% en agua. Luego se escurre y se seca al aire hasta su condición de saturada y superficie seca, para ser incorporada a las mezclas.
El conglomerante es cemento Portland normal.
